- Photoelectric Water Meter
The photoelectric direct reading water meter is an intelligent instrument capable of measuring the total amount of unidirectional water flow in potable cold water pipelines over long distances. What makes these meters stand out is their photoelectric technology, which allows remote and direct reading of water usage. This means less hassle for utility companies, as they no longer need to send out staff for regular meter readings.
These water meters use photoelectric direct reading technology to discern the position of the meter's dial. This technology, a fusion of photoelectric and microelectronic technologies, is a form of "position recognition." Remarkably, it consumes no power during standby and activates only momentarily for reading the dial. This approach is a departure from traditional pulse output water meters. With a split design, the electronic unit is housed in a separate, fully sealed chamber, offering IP68 waterproof performance and immunity to light interference. This unique design does not compromise the traditional water meter's structural integrity, measurement accuracy, or sensitivity. By minimizing reading errors, these meters become an essential component in automatic meter reading (AMR) systems, ensuring zero electromechanical conversion errors.
M-Bus water meters are mostly used in residential, commercial, and industrial settings as they are ideal for collecting data from various instruments and centralized management of water resources.
